The village has a rich history and heritage which merits recording and displaying.
The history of the village and the church has been recorded by volunteers and is accessible to visitors in a variety of ways.
A booklet entitled ‘The Heritage Collection’ tells the visitor how and where heritage information can be found. The booklet is available from the information stand inside the church.
The church is always open and visitors can also find user friendly guide sheets to help them appreciate its artifacts and monuments. Volunteers research is also recorded in written display items.
Together with a growing collection of photographs the display items are stored in the Parish Chest, which is open during events and by individual request.
Heritage researchers have so far collated the following information:
Much of the work to document village life is on-going.
As information is gathered it is stored in the Parish Chest or made available as a display.
People interested in family history may view items either by appointment or on church open days.
A listing of the church monuments and churchyard gravestones is available from the information stand inside the church door.

A Church Trail is a question sheet that guides children and their accompanying adults around the church and encourages them to engage with the architecture, history and furnishings.
The aim is to encourage 8 - 12 year old children, and their families, to learn about the building and inspire them to visit and enjoy other churches.
Church trails are researched, written and designed in a child friendly format.
These printed guides, with photos, are available to guide you around the church.
